Dippers is an award-winning modified nippers and surf education program for children and young adults with specific learning needs. Itβs run by Autism Swim, in partnership with Surf Life Saving Clubs in multiple locations around Australia, to provide access and inclusion in a community program, along with life saving surf skills, to participants and their families. The program is completely free to join, and relies on sponsorships, donations and grant funding to exist. With the help of Surf Lifesaving volunteers the season runs from the end of January through to the end of March. During the season, participants work on individual goals on the beach and in the water.
