The Opportunity:

Lifetime Connect is now seeking a NILS Loan Officer to work as part of a team within our Family Support Services. The role will provide Microfinance services to improve access to financial inclusion for our client group. The position is primarily based at the Macksville site; however, you will be expected to travel across the Nambucca Valley and Coffs Harbour LGA’s. This is a Fixed Term 6 Month Contract Permanent Part-time 3 days a week position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining relationships with loan providers

• Send out NILS loan information packs

• Perform NILS loan interviews according to policies and procedures using MyNILSapp

• Compile NILS loan applications for assessment within a 24–48-hour turnaround

• Meet monthly targets of at least 20 approved loans – Good Shepard

• Increase the reach of NILS through various mediums including collaboration and networking with local service providers

• Initiate activities to increase the awareness of NIL

•Maintain loan records in accordance with Good Shepherd Microfinance procedures and privacy requirements

•Attend staff, program area and relevant Microfinance meetings and training events

Required:

•Ability to work independently and collaboratively as required

•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

•Demonstrated knowledge of community needs

•Relevant qualifications and/or experience in microfinance, finance sector or community development

•Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

•NDIS screening & Worker Orientation module

•Current Police Clearance

•Working With Children Check

•First Aid & CPR qualifications

$38 – $40 per hour
