About Us
Therapy and Education Support Services (TESS) is an early intervention service that is managed by Lifetime Connect, which is a not-for-profit community-based organisation that specialises in providing services to local communities across the Port Macquarie, Kempsey-shire council, Nambucca Valley, Bellingen Valley, and Coffs Harbour local government areas. This position is for the Port Macquarie area. Our service prides itself on working alongside families and children (aged 0-16 years) using a family-focused, client-centred, and strengths-based approach. The clientele will include a range of disabilities, developmental delays, learning difficulties and more.
Due to exponential growth, we are excited to provide an opportunity for one or more enthusiastic Occupational Therapists to extend our reach and deliver supports in the Port Macquarie area. We welcome applicants who are passionate about paediatrics, cultural inclusivity, continuous professional development, and providing client-centred therapy.
Successful applicants will be working in our therapy rooms, within schools/preschools, at clients’ homes and Telehealth Services where appropriate. You will be empowering children and families to achieve their goals through an integrated approach to therapy.

Who We Are Looking For?
The Occupational Therapist we require will have a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children, young people, and families to enable them to engage meaningfully in their everyday lives.
As a member of a transdisciplinary team, within a strengths-based framework, you will deliver flexible and individualised supports to meet the holistic needs of the child or young person and their family, as outlined by their individual plan. Your responsibilities will include independently managing your caseload, completing assessments and reports, engaging in professional development opportunities, providing 1:1 therapy session, as well as liaising with parents, preschools/schools, and other services.
You are regarded as someone who is passionate about empowering children and families to meet their goals, committed to providing neurodiversity-affirming and evidence-based practice, and who has strong interpersonal skills (e.g., teamwork, strong communication, collaboration). You are able to work independently and as part of a team, and you have strong time-management and organisational skills.
