This April school holidays we held our first Sense Rugby program in Macksville!

This program occurred each morning from 9am-10am.
The kids loved learning different footy skills like passing, evasion, kicking but they especially loved tackling!
The program is designed to progressively increase the difficulty of the skills with each session but each activity can be adapted to be simpler or more difficult for each individual.
The program is designed to consider any sensory needs of the players. The drills include a large amount of heavy work through tackling, crashing, lifting, holding body weight, pulling, pushing and more. The heavy work is aimed to be regulating and can help to build body awareness for motor skills as well.
We loved running this program and will be running it again this year.
Let us know if you are interested in being a part of the program (there are limited spots available) whether itโs to develop motor skills, confidence, for sensory input, or just some fun! Come and join the team!
