The TESS team went out on country with Gumbaynggirr community member, culture and language teacher and song man Michael Jarrett (also known as Uncle Micklo)!
The team met on Ngambaa Homelands at beautiful Scotts Head. We were given a taste of Gumbaynggirr language; Some history and experiences lived by Aboriginal people living in the area where we are working; Some very helpful do’s and don’ts to consider when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island families; and an amazing dreaming story describing the formation of many of the special places around Scotts Head.
