The Australian Government has postponed the launch of the new Support at Home program and the updated Aged Care Act. Originally scheduled for 1 July 2025, these changes will now take effect from 1 November 2025.
Why is there a delay?
After receiving feedback from aged care providers, clients and advocacy groups such as OPAN, the Government has decided to allow more time for us all to prepare. This extension ensures a smoother transition and better support for clients in Australia accessing aged care services.
What does this mean for you?
Your current care and services with Lifetime Connect will continue as usual. There’s no Department Reforms from you at this stage.
We remain committed to providing care through our dedicated team of Support Workers and Care Partners. You’ll continue to receive support through programs like the existing Home Care Packages (HCP) .
No matter your funding arrangement, our mission stays the same: Dedicated to helping you stay safe, confident, and independent in the comfort of your home.
What’s next?
We’ll keep a close eye on Government updates and share any new information with you as soon as it’s available. We will undergo a pricing restructure over the next week in line with the annual Fair Work Commission wage increase for our dedicated team, inflation and increased costs of internal infrastructure to improve our services and delivery to you.
In the meantime, you can feel confident that your care will continue without interruption. Lifetime Connect is here to support you through this transition.
